Emelia Grace Harvey lost her mother in a mysterious fire that originated in the girl's nursery six months after she was born. Her father, Professor James Harvey, was left to raise her on his own. He lectured in Literature at Columbia College Chicago. He gave his daughter a love of all things written, and she has since followed in his footsteps by attending Columbia, where she majored in poetry, and is currently pursuing a graduate degree.

It is unclear where Emelia wishes to end up. She lost her father suddenly last year, his death hitting her hard. So much so that her emotions have become far more intense, and she has sought therapy to try and reach equilibrium. She suffered headaches shortly after Mr. Harvey passed, something that she also attributes to the grief. She finds it hard to let him go because in some ways he was her only friend.

Em can sometimes seem like the typical bookworm; quiet and reserved, even a little shy. She'll come out of her shell when she's more comfortable with people. She's never one for long-term relationships unless they happen to be friends-with-benefits, the arrangements also bypassing any need for dating. She's fun, flirty, and will loyal to any friends she does have. She speaks up when she thinks someone is about to make the wrong decision, choosing to say what's on her mind rather than let it fester. She likes junk food, but will occasionally be seen eating something green, and her idea of a work out is going to a club to dance it off.

Power:

The headaches and increased emotions Emelia has been experiencing is the onset of her power. She has telempathy which is the ability to absorb and channel emotions into psionic backlash. The energy she emits is pure condensed emotion; and few can ever resist such an assault.

It means her emotions are projected onto others, but at this stage the act is involuntary and occurs with her strongest negative emotions, causing others to feel pain. Once she is aware of her power, and able to exert control it is entirely possible she could project positive emotions onto others as a calming influence.

Emelia is yet to be aware of the power she possesses. Fairly recently, she narrowly avoided slaughter at the hands of the Yellow Eyed Demon during an ultimate showdown to find his champion. Up to this day, Emelia continues to be oblivious to the fact that her life was in any danger at the time.

For now Emelia continues to lead the life of a normal human, but soon enough things will start taking a turn for the worst as her power has slowly begun to manifest...
